Worship: what a consuming and unique experience in which we are invited to participate. It is the coming together to celebrate with singing, a listening to a message the pastor or speaker is giving, an offering of our financial contributions, and the enjoyment of fellowship with other believers and seekers of God. Additionally, and most importantly, in order for worship to happen, it requires an object of our honor, respect, reverence, and devotion; the divine Being, supernatural Power and Object of our worshipful devotion is the Lord God Almighty. Over the next few weeks, I want to help us come to a better understanding of what worship is, its purpose, and what role it plays on Sunday mornings, but even more, how worship should play a role in the everyday lives of all believers.
