Church should be about changing lives
Let’s look at the statement I just wrote.
The word translated “church” in the English Bible is ekklesia.
This word is the Greek word kaleo (to call), with the prefix ek (out).
Thus, the word means “the called out ones.”
You have been called out! “Out of what?” you might ask.
You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God,for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. “Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.”1 Peter 2:9-10 (NLT)
Our job is to tell others about the Great Love that has changed our lives
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
